Established by 30-something entrepreneurs Trent and Rhea Kitsch, this East Kelowna winery offers a fresh, youthful approach to the wine-tasting experience. The tasting room is set in the garage of the 15,000-square-foot mansion that Kitsch's construction company built for his parents, after he sold his successful SAXX underwear company. Their winemaker, Grant Biggs, applies youthful energy to winemaking traditions, crafting balanced pinot noirs, chardonnays and aromatic whites that reflect the area's ability to ripen grapes, without robbing their acidity. Hip-hop and other lively beats in the tasting room, along with a patio and lawn overlooking downtown Kelowna and Okanagan Lake, keep things fun.

Part of the Spirit Ridge resort grounds, which stretch up a hillside on the eastern shore of Lake Osoyoos, the modern, state-of-the-art winery offers regular and reserve tastings. The on-site bistro offers outdoor seating, where you can order a cheese plate and other light bites to accompany wines by the glass or bottle, while gazing across Osoyoos Lake. The winery's offerings range from traditional red and white Bordeaux and Rhône varietals to more inventive blends. such as the Dreamcatcher, a bright blend of riesling, sauv blanc, and ehrenfeiser (the latter is a cross of riesling-silvaner cross grown primarily in Germany).

The wines, produced through organic and biodynamic processes, are pretty good, but they can be overshadowed by the on-site pyramid cellar.
