The emphasis on local ingredients extends to a wine list showcasing Columbia Gorge selections, complemented by those from the Willamette and Walla Walla valleys, with a few California and Old World offerings mixed in. Full Sail's culinary team taps into the local bounty to provide tasty renditions of pub classics, such as wings, sandwiches and burgers, along with lighter, Asian-influenced options, in a bustling setting overlooking the river. The full slate of Full Sail ales and brewery tours are also available.

This old-school roadhouse offers a casual, convivial setting to dig into steak, seafood and pasta entrees, with a few modern twists.

Views of the river from the dining room and expansive deck, along with a wide selection of quality food, draws locals to this lively spot, set in the Best Western Plus Hood River Inn. The Italian-inspired menu offers pasta and entrees such as chicken saltimbocca, braised short ribs and cioppino. Breakfast and lunch bring a slate of fun, satisfying offerings (think cornmeal waffles and carnitas tacos), and the attached CEBU Lounge offers more enticing reasons to linger.

Now on the waterfront, this locally loved restaurant serves wood-fired pizzas, fresh pasta dishes and other items, accompanied by artisan cocktails, microbrews and a small selection of Northwest and Italian wines.

Just off the main drag in White Salmon, this independent bakery offers scratch-made breads baked in a custom-built wood-fired oven, along with pastries, scones, breakfast sandwiches and more for breakfast, as well as sandwiches and other goodies for lunch. The wine list includes Oregon wines and international selections, and sunny weather brings patio seating. The cafe also hosts pizza nights on Monday.
